We select woods not only by color, but by how their grain, density and visual depth support a particular design.

01Deep / ancient / mineral
Dark oak preserved over long periods in low-oxygen environments. Its charcoal-to-black tone gives carved dials and cases a restrained, architectural character.
02Dense / black / refined
A very dark hardwood with a fine visual grain. It works particularly well when the design calls for a deep black appearance without losing the sense of natural material.
03Expressive / warm / individual
Highly figured burl patterns create movement and natural contrast. Every cut can look dramatically different, making it suited to designs where the wood itself should remain visible.
04Warm / textured / classic
Warm brown tones and irregular figuring give walnut burl a softer, more traditional character while still preserving strong one-of-one visual variation.
05Red / contrast / accent
Its natural red tone is especially useful as a controlled accent — for a bezel, detail or contrast element — when the project needs warmth against a darker body.
06Rich / striped / elegant
Dark brown color with lighter streaking creates a more linear, flowing look. It can bring visual movement without the dramatic figuring of a burl.
